Our in house band

B"H

Boruch Hashem we are blessed to have children with creative minds! Everything around us is an opportunity to create. We found some large branches outside and decided to make a marching band that soon became an in house concert! All of our friends took turns being different roles in our band.

The local farm

B"H

This morning, after signing in, our friends went straight to the block center. We decided to build a train track with a farm right in the middle. The train track will provide transportation to and from the farm to bring supplies. All of our friends worked together as a team filling all the needed positions for our farm to function properly.

Dancing through the sea!

B"H

When the Jews were finally out of the sea, they stopped to thank Hashem and dance for all the miracles. We did just that during outdoor play here in Gan Chaya!

Experiencing the seder

B"H

The Seder is when we retell the story of pesach and its how we celebrate it every year. We made sure to learn and experience all 15 steps so that we properly knew what was coming. :) Our friends enjoyed setting up their own seder where they went through every step, made sure to sing the whole mah nishtana together, etc.

Practicing pouring the four cups of wine!

 Doing Kadiesh all together

Our friends decided to set up a seder
We're up to Mah Nishtana!

Matzah- What's up with it?

B"H

Matzah is a big staple in this special holiday. There is so much to learn about the process, why we eat it and working on being fast to get it done in 18 min. We enjoyed exploring wheat kernels, making matzah dough and rolling holes in it.

 Separating wheat kernels
Examining them under microscope to make sure there's no water

The best cleaning crew!

B"H

We need to prepare for Pesach! We get our house ready by removing all the chometz and cleaning every corner. If that's what we do at our homes, then we certainly need to do it to our dear classroom in Gan Chaya! :)

We collected all the chometz into our kitchen into one bucket
We decided to wrap it in foil and put it away until after Pesach.
Next we got started on cleaning the windows!
Everything needed to be scrubbed! :)
Jonah thought we should also clean our placemats
 Its all about team work!
All the furniture needed to be moved for this to happen. :)

Look at the dirt!

We are all very busy! :)

Building pyramids

B"H

After learning about the pyramids that the Jewish people built, we decided to try to make pyramids ourselves. We've been exploring with bricks as building materials so this was a perfect opportunity! We all worked as a team to make it happen!
