A visit by our literacy table

B"H

In our classroom, the Literacy table is one of the most visited spots. Our friends truly enjoy spelling and reading.

We use our white boards to practice our letters over and over

We put out sentence strips and write out words we know!

Fall mural

B"H

We put out lots of different fall color paints on the art table with two big white posters and watched to see what the kids came up with.

They started off with squeezing the paint out and moving it to make different designs. Again, that's where they STARTED :)
Next we moved the paint around making all different designs with our brushes.

Now it was time to bring our hands in :)

Fall leaf fun!

B"H

The leaves in the Fall season are loads of fun to collect and explore. We definitely enjoyed doing that in our classroom!

We collected them
We threw them
We blew them
and collected some more :)

Fall tree drawings

B"H

As we were learning about Fall, we observed that different trees turn different colors. We brought in 2 pictures of different Fall trees to our art table and each friend chose a different tree that they would draw.

Letter of the week- Gimmel!

B"H

Every friday, we make a special badge to wear with the letter of the week. This week we made special watches that had special power to help us do what was right and do it fast! Clean up was never so fast and efficient Boruch Hashem! :)

Gimmel power!!

Our classroom firefighters

B"H

Our friends decided that we needed some firefighters in out classroom, yet we only have one fireman costume! That was completely alright for them, they created their own uniform!

All of our "fire chiefs" :)
Itta informing us of a fire. We gotta run! :)

Exploring Fall leaves

B"H

After collecting many leaves of different shapes, sizes and colors, we had lots to explore and discover.

We put them out on our math table to sort by color

We used them to make beautiful fall ornaments using salt dough that we made. We imprinted the shape of the leaf we chose on to the salt dough. After it was baked, we used colored pencils to color the leaf with fall colors.

Outside, we got to make a school-wide mural using leaves to make leaf rubbings.

Fall Nature hike

B"H

This week we began learning about fall. After discussing what happens in this season- the leaves change colors and fall off the trees- we took a nature walk to find and collect som eof these fall leaves.

We collected leaves of many different colors all into our wooden crate.
We were so proud of the many leaves we collected of all different colors.
After collecting the leaves, we go to go all the way to the shul to see the pomegranate tree that turned yellow!

Caution: Mud work ahead :)

B"H

The friends in our classroom have been showing a strong interest in exploring mud and rocks. When learning about the third day of creation, we thought what better way can we experience it other than through mud!
On the third day Hashem created land and all vegetation. We had lots of fun experiencing that!

After learning about Day 3 of creation in focus time, we went outside to fill our sensory bin with mud and rocks. All of our friends worked together to fill the bin!

We put the bin out on our sensory table to explore with during center time

Our friends worked together to make a nice big mud pie! :) They found spoons to mix their batter with!
Check out our hands!
We also put out mud paint at our art table to make beautiful pictures with!

Our mini construction site

B"H
Our friends came into the classroom in the morning and were very interested in collecting rocks from the other side of the wall of our outdoor classroom. They found a bucket to collect them in and worked together as a team to collect a whole lot of rocks!

Our friends made sure to stay on our side of the wall. They bent their bodies so that they can collect the rocks :)

All smiles as we work as a team!
